I laid on a layer of plaster onto a board, and working quickly I created a bas relief (slightly raised) image of what I thought the fragments from the story of Jesus feeding the five thousand might look like. I then painted in the background and the fragments from the loaves and fishes. Fanciful of course but I think suggestive of the event. Might be suitable for a church gathering place.

I came to painting late in life, believing I could never draw anything beyond a stick figure -- and it turns out that essentially I was right! I've found though that by using color and a basic idea of form, I could convey the beauty and mystery of the image that emerges as I apply paint to a surface.
